View Power Production LiveIn August of 2009, Carolina Solar Energy completed construction of a 650-kilowatt (kWdc) solar photovoltaic (PV) plant on the site of the Person County Business and Industrial Center near Roxboro, N C. King Brothers Electric Company, Willie Bishop Construction and TROSA subcontracted with CSE and were an integral part of the construction process.The Carolina Solar Energy designed solar PV generator occupies about 4 acres at the intersection of HWY 501 and Crown Blvd just south of Roxboro. The system uses 3,420 High Efficiency CSI 190 WATT crystalline PV Solar modules and will generate approximately 837,000 kilowatt-hours in the first year.
The energy that the Person County Solar Park produces is sold to Progress Energy Carolinas for distribution to its customers.
